Eaux-de-Vie de la Visitation

Identité visuelle

Distillerie d’eaux-de-vie

Eaux-de-vie de la Visitation takes its time. The brand is built around seasonality, terroir, and the slow rhythms of distillation. The identity lives in that same space: between heritage and simplicity. Ornamental details nod to classic spirit labels, pulled back into something quieter and more contemporary. the fern, for the way it grows and unfolds onto itself, simple but naturally ornate, and the shape of a cup that nods to the long tradition of fine spirits, their old labels, their ceremony, their craft. Merged together, they form something vegetal and a little abstract, complex enough to hold attention but still fully their own. It's an identity that can grow with them, season by season.

The project's central challenge was representing the noble, traditional character of the distillery's approach while foregrounding its artisanal, nature-close sensibility. The identity needed to feel timeless with a subtle nod to the past, simple and accessible enough to carry the brand across years of growth.

A key technical and typographic challenge was the length of the name itself: Eaux-de-vie de la Visitation. Rather than treating this as a constraint, the system turns it into an asset. The full name, its descriptor, and its acronym, DLV, each function as graphic elements within a flexible visual language.

We moved away from trendy visuals, colors, and packaging to focus on something more essential: the simplicity of the ingredients they work with, and the complexity of the flavors they build. That duality drove the whole project. We wanted a visual system that feels simple at first glance but has more going on underneath, where the detail is present but never showing off.
