The 25–26 season campaign for Théâtre Denise-Pelletier builds on a visual language that has been developing over several seasons: large serif titles contrasting with a bold, colorful world. After an edition built around gradients and the absence of graphic shapes, this season returns to blocks and pushes that language further. Exploring rounder forms led us to discover splinters appearing at the corners of each block, adding energy and character to the system. Combined with a heavily colorized photo treatment inspired by pop art, the result is a strong and recognizable identity that holds together across the full season.

Théâtre Denise-Pelletier is a francophone theatre in Montreal with a particular mandate: reaching a wide range of audiences, from loyal longtime subscribers to school groups encountering live theatre for the first time. That breadth is a real design constraint. The visual language has to feel welcoming without being watered down, bold enough to excite younger audiences while holding the credibility that longtime theatergoers expect.

The 25–26 season includes twelve shows presented across two venues, four of them in the main hall. Each production has its own identity within the system, its own palette and presence, without breaking the visual continuity of the season as a whole. Keeping that balance, distinct but coherent, was the central challenge.

The ongoing nature of the project adds another layer. This is not a one-off campaign but a visual language built over multiple seasons. Each year has to feel clearly its own while remaining recognizable as part of something continuous. For a theatre with this kind of community presence in Montreal's francophone cultural landscape, that consistency matters. The identity is something audiences return to year after year, and it needs to reward that familiarity while still feeling fresh.
